During recent years, road construction investments have been increasing and construction is in a golden age again. At the same time, construction companies are required to perform widely modern engineering management and improve construction engineering management level so as to ensure engineering quality process and safety. But nowadays the extensive management style in construction company is popular, and that hardern realization of safety, quality, schedule and cost control. This pushes company to perform management style, build scientific management system to satisfy market. This article introduces lean thinking history and its theory behind, and furthermore clarify lean thinking definition, interpretation and content. Especially state five principles of lean thinking: define value, identify value stream, value flow, pull forward, better. In follow, this article should describe domestic transportation industry and road-bridge construction company development situation, disclose their essential issues, and research the possibility of employing lean thinking idea into enterprise. This article takes a builded highway project as an example, and then prove the methods of creating lean construction site, carrying out lean construction process and improving workers quality to achieve optimal performance at this four objects-quality, quality, schedule and cost. In the process of lean thinking used in highway electromechanical,we should spread the knowledge of lean thinking to educate staff; we should emphasis on human resource and build effective motivation mechanism; we should improve engineering quality, insure construction safety, guarantee engineering schedule, and control cost so as to improve highway overall quality and road construction business management level.
