The construction or renovation of the architectural department hall isaccompanied by the development of higher education to satisfy increased needs forcomplex functions and subject development. As a kind of the educational buildings,the architectural department hall has its generality and particularity. So, it will be agreat research about what kinds of architectural department hall are the high schoolsreally need and what relationship exist between the architectural department hall andarchitectural education.Taking “Research on Architectural Educational and Architectural DepartmentHall Design” as subject, the paper summarizes the history of the architectureeducation at home and abroad，puts forward the main argument, that is the dialecticalrelationship between architectural education and the architectural department halls.proves architectural education is the main factor for the architectural department halldesigning by analyzing and comparing the practice cases and summarizes the designfeatures of these architectural department halls.
