With the rapid development of digital manufacturing technology in various fields ofmanufacturing, our country’s aircraft digital manufacturing technology develop rapidly, and3D digital design techniques based on MBD (Model-based Definition) are being used widelyin entire aircraft manufacturing industry. In this paper, assistant design technology of thethree-dimensional assemble order (AO) of the aircraft is discussed under the technology ofmodel-based definition.At first, this paper analyzes our traditional process of compile AO of aircraft and thedemand of AO with the rapid development of aircraft digital manufacturing technology, at thesame time introduces the application of MBD technology and its structure by citing theconcept of three-dimensional AO. Next, the paper talks about the difficulties that we mayconfront when we compile AO with the data based on MBD technology. On account of thecharacteristics of aircraft digital model, such as large numbers of parts, huge groups ofinformations, complex structure and time-consuming during the annotation viewing,accounting marks and quantities of standard parts for process operator, especially the lack ofnecessary understanding to design models, we do some researches about the method of rapidextracting information related to the assemble from three-dimensional digital model andformatted output of the information, and rapid measure of the distance between holes and theedges of parts in mechanical connection. Based on the analysis of the content of AO should becontained, the paper researches the method to formatted output the parts, standards,production tooling, and standardized documentary table. According to the current situation theassemble order combined three-dimensional digital models with two-dimensional textdescription, the paper cites the concept of PPR and researches the method about how toestablish assemble process models and PPR models rapidly, in order to make process, productand resource to become a unity.Especially, based on the platform of Visual studio2005, the development of the assisteddesign software of the three-dimensional AO in CATIA is completed under the help of CAA.
