The basic elements of the ocean is an important part of the national marine strategy. With the deepening of exploring information on deep-ocean, the conventional current measuring device is difficult to meet the needs of the deep information measurements, therefore, it is imminent to develop one deep-ocean current sensor with a high precision and stable performance. The research group based on the National Natural Science Fund project "measurable upwelling three-dimensional instantaneous current sensor research"(NO.41076061), designed a new type of deep-ocean current sensor. In order to verify the performance of the sensor, a set of three-dimensional simulation of deep-ocean currents movement device is designed, called three-dimensional ocean sensor calibration platform. The calibration work of the new type of deep-ocean currents sensor is completed by absolute calibration method.According to the control requirements of ocean sensor calibration platform in terms of technology and performance, FPGA is choosed as the core processor to design the control system. Firstly, through planning on handware control panel based on core processor, to achieve the separation of core board and expansion board, and enhance the portability of the motion controller.The main modules includes serial communication module, position detection module, power supply circuit module, analog voltage output module and so on. Secondly, at the basic of handware control panel, Verilog HDL is used for lower system programming, which includes PID position control algorithm, encoder signal acquisition algorithm, D/A converter analog output algorithm, position mode control algorithm and so on, to achieve closed-loop control by FPGA; Finally, in LaBVIEW programming environment, the serial communication between upper computer and lower system by VISA, aimed to exploit a personalized control interface, the main function is to control data input of ocean sensor calibration platform, as well as display and storage data of encorder collection.After the set for the whole current sensor calibration platform, relevant test are validated for the motion control system respectively in position mode and speed mode. Otherwise, the feasibility of platform is confirmed by analysis of experimental data. The direction of future work is proposed by summing up current achievement.
