With the rapid development of urban traffic, traffic congestion and vehicle delay problem of signal intersection become increasingly prominent as an important node of city road network. How to set up bus stop near signalized intersection has become one of the major factors affecting traffic travel. The unreasonable layout position will intensify the traffic congestion and increase vehicle delay. Besides, the vehicle queue in approach will affect the parking of nearby buses.In order to study the bus bay stop, the paper builds traffic flow model under the bus bay stop influence of multi-lane and multi-section(HMM), and then construct the intersection model containing bus stop based on cellular automata. The paper adopts the method of simulation to analyze the influence of stop setting condition and bus ratio on intersection traffic, which provides the basis to set stop and improve traffic flow to some extent. The concrete content includes the following aspects:(1) This paper uses the theory of cellular automata to analyze the basic parameters of traffic flow and the intersection vehicle running index.(2)Define lane-changing behavior of vehicles based on vehicle speed and vehicle type, and consider the parking of buses in bus bay stop. The road is divided into five sections according to the degree of bus stop influence, and determine outbound rule of bus giving way to the vehicles on adjacent lane and build traffic flow model under the bus bay stop influence of multi-lane and multi-section(HMM). The paper analyzes traffic flow characteristics under the influence of bus bay stop in each lane and each section through simulation. In addition, the influence on traffic flow and bus stopping delay of bus stop platform is under study.(3)Based on HMM model, the closed section is extended to the open approach. The approach is divided into two sections and the demand of vehicles steering is introduced to build intersection model containing bus stop in the upstream area. The paper gets the influence law of upstream stop on vehicle delay by comparing the simulation results of different setting distance and bus ratio, and analyzes bus stop delay and intersection delay affected by approach. The results show that the car delay is affected weakly by bus ratio when distance of stop and stop line is far and the bus delay decreases with the increase of distance.
