With the rapid development of the national economy, the electric power industry entered a new stage of development, the structure and scale of power grid expanding significantly. At the same time as the renewable energy access, making grid especially the user side becomes more and more complex. On the other hand, the load can also be used as a resource to respond to the grid scheduling, even independent response to the needs of the grid, the load becomes a kind of friendly for grid resources. At the same time the power electronic technology has been developing continuously so that more variable frequency electric appliance, such as inverter air conditioner, refrigerator inverter into people’s lives. Frequency conversion technology is gradually mature to frequency conversion electric occupy in the market proportion increased year by year. Therefore, research on frequency conversion type temperature control load, to ease the pressure to improve the power grid operation state has far-reaching significance.This paper first analyzes the characteristics of motor drive temperature control load in power grid, load curve, with the air conditioning load as an example, analysis of the influence of season, temperature changes for the load characteristics. Focuses on the share structure in the daily load curve of power grid, which is widely distributed and the large number of draws the conclusion. Secondly, introduces relevant theory and method of the load modeling of air conditioner load, analyzes its in the grid modeling method for comparing several calculation accuracy and complexity, the induction motor equivalent circuit model. And, put forward for the active power reduce method in the power grid frequency load side real-time detection of electrical equipment of the region at the same time independent control of load condition, the conclusion shows that the method can supplement the power grid emergency good active power vacancy, less frequent less degree of power grid dispatching. Air conditioner load model of induction motor is finally built by using examples, analyzes the control method in complex power network to improve power system transient stability advantages.
