Warehousing Activity is one of the most important parts of modern logistics. The spare parts warehousing as a special type of the warehousing activity has distinct features and demands. Meanwhile, the spare part warehousing as an important section of the after sales logistics of automotive plays a pivotal role in the whole supply chain. And this paper is for the study of the automotive spare parts warehousing system optimization problem. Based on the slotting planning, the process designing and the goods management problems, the paper has proposed three kinds of methods aimed at to solve the three problems.Firstly, the paper gives a whole introduction and analysis of the automotive spare parts warehousing system. It introduced the automotive spare parts’varieties and features. Then introduce the structures and features of the automotive spare parts warehousing system. Also include the system designing and process management. Meanwhile, give up an analysis to the key problems of warehousing system. Secondly, the paper introduced the status of W Auto spare parts warehouse and the problems of W Auto spare parts warehouse including the slotting, process and the goods managements. Then make data analysis by ABC classification method and flow chart analyzing and status description of these three problems. Thirdly, the paper builds up a model based on the assignment problem and solves the model by the software Lingo in the aspect of slotting optimization. For the process optimization, the paper uses the Petri Net theory and build up a model to optimize the inbound process. For the goods and security management aspect, the paper puts forward a blueprint of the dangerous good warehouse building planning and several facility management methods.Finally, the paper gives different indexes to evaluate the three optimizations and also put forward several measures to guarantee the optimizations’effects.The innovation point of the paper is that it starts with the angle of system and chooses three key points in the system to do the optimizations. Then use several simple but efficient methods to solve the problem and make the optimizations come true.
