Transportation Energy Consumption Changes And Influencing Factors Study Based On Index Decomposition Model

Transportation is the basic industry of national economic. Transportation industry develops comprehensively along with the rapid development of social economy. Energy consumption in transportation industry is increasing. Transportation has become one of the fastest energy consumption industries. As a result, Energy problem is becoming more and more serious. Transportation energy consumption influence factors have become a hot research issue. Transportation energy consumption variation and the main influencing factors decomposition contribute to reduce the transportation energy consumption and realize the sustainable development of transportation industry.On the basis of the research status at home and abroad, research content and framework are instituted; Second, the basic theory and method of energy consumption influence factors analysis are summarized, which laid theoretical basis for this study; Third, the improved decomposition model is put forward according to the factors change direction on the basis of the existing index decomposition methods; Fourth, transportation energy consumption influencing factors are quantitative decomposed from1986to2012according to transportation energy consumption decomposition model; The contribution of transportation turnover, transportation structure and transportation energy consumption intensity’s changes to transportation energy consumption variation is quantitative calculated. Energy conservation effect of transportation structure and transportation energy consumption is analyzed. Valuable conclusions are obtained.Results show that transportation turnover growth is the main factors determining the growth of China’s transportation energy consumption. There exist great energy-conservation potential about transportation structure adjustment, and transportation energy intensity is the main factor of energy conservation. The research achievements enrich the relevant theory of transportation energy consumption, laid foundation for transportation structure adjustment and the transportation energy conservation research. It is of great significant for China to make the transportation energy development planning and carry out related policies.
