In recent years, State Grid Corporation of China has enhanced the transformation and construction of electric power project and its facilities in order to fundamentallyresolve the contradiction that power is in short supply. However, in power grid construction project presently, many problems lead to the project quality issues, such as the constructors often modify the building drawing based on their experiences, disagreement between construction links and construction standards, and there are problems among engineering management personnel at all levels including different degree of perfunctorily acceptance check and unfulfilled acceptance responsibility. In addition, as the storage of construction materials is often disordered, the work environment is often dirty and in a mess at the local construction site. Therefore, such work environment not only against workers’ work enthusiasm but also reduces their work efficiency.In this paper, focusing on the project quality problems of M converting station, first, analytical hierarchy process is adopted herein to analyze the factors influencing the project quality of converting station, so as to find the critical factor influencing the project quality and to emphasis its quality management. Second, aim at M project construction, process quality control point is built and detailed guide book, score standard and method of field operation are compiled. The acceptance requirements of each process are defined, the work instruction book of field process acceptance and performance appraisal methods are also established in the process of inspection. Finally, 5S management method is used to manage the construction site and the constructors. In this paper, the theory of Project Quality Management is applied to practice, a set of methods suitable for controlling the scene construction and a set of approaches suitable for quality management are summarized and discussed. These methods are capable of practical application value and reference significance due to their features of being comprehensive, targeted and highly operable.
