Scientific and rational assessment of the feasibility of wind power projects is very important to reduce subjectivity and blindness in investment decision-making process, improve investment efficiency, reduce investment risk, and optimize the allocation of resources. In this paper, a specific methods of comprehensive evaluation of the feasibility of wind power projects from technical and economic aspects is given.Firstly, a comprehensive evaluation index system of wind farm projects is established scientificly considering their own characteristics. Secondly, based on the index system a comprehensive evaluation model is obtained, which combines technical and economic evaluation theory and multi-level fuzzy analysis method, and considers the actual situation of wind power projects. Thirdly, in the evaluation process, the subjective weights will be modified to reduce the influence of subjective factors on the evaluation results, which makes the evaluation results more authentic. Finally, evaluating each indicator of 3 layers respectively, and then the result of the comprehensive evaluation is obtained.On the basis of theoretical research, the method is applied in evaluation of a wind farm in Gansu. Based on detailed analysis of some indexes including wind energy resource, wind generators, electrical system, financial situation, social benefits and so on, a comprehensive evaluation index system is established suitable for this wind farm. Then, the quantitative index membership matrix is determined, the final weight vector is obtained after objective weighting, fuzzy comprehensive evaluation is taken on the wind farm in Gansu and ultimately the result of the comprehensive evaluation of of the wind farm project is "good", Which means the technical conditions of the wind farm is feasible, economic returns is good, the community and the environment is sustainable. As a result, the wind farm project is feasible.
