In the network planning, determine the substation site location is a crucial link, its result directly affects the economic benefits of safety and reliability of power grid and the investment operation of the network structure, the whole network power supply. The substation as an important part of power system, is not only the superior power(power plant) of the load point, also is the lower level network(users) power supply point. How to choose a reasonable location of substations, scientific and rational planning of substation location, to ensure the safety and the economy of the rationality and operation of the power grid of the overall system has important influence. Scientific and reasonable to determine the location and scope of supply of the substation, can effectively reduce the system of cross regional cross power phenomenon, so as to improve the efficiency of power system management and operation. Therefore, how to fully absorb the expert advice of comprehensive scientific analysis of influence factor, and the location of the comprehensive evaluation model for scientific decision for substation site selection is crucial for the establishment of a scientific and rational substation, is of great significance.This paper firstly in detail analyzed and explained Erdos Dalate west 220 k V substation locating and the background and significance of topics and research status at home and abroad,and the relevant theory of substation location are introduced; and then introduced the general situation of practical engineering Erdos Dalate west 220 k V substation project, and site alternatives 1 and scheme 2, and from the geographical location, hydrology geological, seismic intensity, water supply and drainage, power grid structure, load distribution, corridor, urban and rural planning, land acquisition(relocation and compensation), considering the factors of transportation and workers living convenient, environmental impact, on site 1 alternatives and scheme 2 carries on the contrast analysis, and analysis of scheme 1 is more suitable for Erdos Dalate west 220 k V substation. Finally, constructs the comprehensive evaluation index system of Erdos Dalate west 220 k V substation location options and fuzzy comprehensive evaluation model, according to the actual situation to make a comprehensive evaluation on the site alternatives, and the evaluation results are analyzed and summarized, the top Erdos Dalate west 220 k V substation optimal location scheme.
