Application Of The Water Element In The Design Of The Indoor Environment

Water as one of the most representative elements of natural elements is linked with people’s lives; it has an indispensable and widespread. In addition to water for the purpose of modern life, people have put water as a vibrant artistic element widely used in landscape design. However, the systematic application of the water elements in the interior design is small. How to make the maximum possible water elements play their cultural, ecological and other features in the design of the indoor environment is still to be further explored.Papers with water elements as the main object, its conceptual definition and classification, and use literature study and summarized for water elements in cultural, natural, environmental protection, decoration and additional characteristics of a detailed research. In this study, based on the water element in the application form as a starting point, the water element binding studies with diverse cultural background summed up the water element of the East-West cultural differences between the evolutions of the application form. By analyzing a large number of actual cases, trying to find factual support design method based on papers from the case, draw the design techniques and design elements of the water element in the interior design of the application. Design techniques which are mainly combined virtual and real, structure and restructuring, associate and symbol, technology and innovation as well as metaphor and suggesting that, while noting that the water element in the indoor environment design applications to focus on the needs of people, to design innovative, avoid rote, to pay attention to the integrity and functionality of the space unity, but also embodies the principles of sustainable energy and environmental protection. On the basis of research on design methods discussed water interface elements in the interior space, water, landscape and the overall atmosphere of the application space, the water element used in the interior space of the interface is mainly reflected laying on the ground, the walls and the top surface of the decorative style and the water in the application landscape is mainly reflected in the dynamic and static water features among water-skiing. Finally, the paper analyzes the water element figurative and abstract elements of water through in-depth case studies and design practice, design techniques and design elements will be demonstrated water element applications, provide a reference for application of the water element in the design of the indoor environment and stimulate design ideas.
