| The rapid industrialization and urbanization in China, making the supply and demand of water resources have become increasingly prominent.With growing economies of scale and expanding population, how to sustain economic and social development of the region is also facing water constraints.Henan Province as an important economic province and also the rapid development of new industrial province in China,the industry will be an important support part for regional economic and social development,so industrial water will gradually become an important part of water consumption.With the improvement of agricultural modernization, industrialization and urbanization process, Henan is now facing a shortage of water and the deterioration of the water quality;under the two dual constraints,the economic and social development are restricted in Henan Province.Therefore.optimizing the industrial structure of water and enhancing the efficiency of industrial water,has become a real problem for sustainable development of regional economy in Henan.Industry is an important support for economic and social development,while industrial water is an important part of economic and social water, facing the shortage of water,comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the status quo and the future development trend of industrial water,how to ensure the sustainable development of Henan Province industrial in the future become the key point in this article.The paper chose the sub-industry statistics in Henan Statistics Yearbook from2008 to 2013 about large-scale industrial,based on analyzing the characteristics of the industry water use, using decomposition technique of LMDI to analyze the industrial water use in Henan.The results show that:the industrial economic effect is a major factor in the increase of industrial water use.technical effect represented by the water intensity has significant growth inhibition in industrial water consumption,and the role of the adjustment of industrial structure in the process of change in industrial water consumption is uncertain.In order to solve the problem about "the low utilization efficiency of industrial water has become a resource bottleneck restraining the development of industry",using DEA model to measure the water efficiency of industrial sub-sectors,and the result shows:generally,the industrial water use efficiency is not high and there is a lot of water wasted;according to the existing literature,there are many factors affecting the industry water efficiency;based on data availability,we chose water resources endowment, industrial development and industrial structure scale to research water efficiency by multiple regression analysis;the regression results not only validate the results of previous studies, but we know that water endowment and water efficiency negatively correlated and the scale of industrial positively promote the water efficiency and the higher proportion of high-water industry then lower the efficiency of water use.On the basis of the two parts above,we made some relevant comments on how to establish a water-saving industry in Henan Province,such as adjustment of industrial structure,further promote technological innovation and progress,adapt inter-regional transfer of industry,raise awareness of water conservation,protecting the environment and so on. |
