Technology Research On Low Cost And High Stability Of Crumb Rubber Modified Asphalt

With the rapid development of automobile industry, modern transportation has become increasingly demanding. According to the domestic and overseas researches, this paper is proposed. The factors which can affect the ability of crumb rubber modified asphalt have been discussed through various measurements. The mechanism of the modification process has been clarified and the operating conditions were optimized. This method is not only a low cost and environmental friendly method but it also improves the compatibility between crumb rubber and asphalt, which can be a guidance in the transpotational and practical process.In this word,40 mesh crumb rubber was used to modify the Qinhuangdao AH-70 type asphalt by "low temperature high shear" method. The influence of crumb rubber content, growth condition, desulfurizer T-580, soluble sulfur, plasticizers SP-1068 and stabilizers trimellitic anhydride on crumb rubber modified asphalt have been taken into consideration.Based on the evaluation criteria of rubber modified asphalt and take the Brookfield rotation, rubber process analyzer and fluorescence microscope as effective measurements, the influences of additives in crumb rubber modified asphalt were fully analyzed.
