Axle, engine, gearbox and cab are the four key components of a truck. Quality of the axle is closely related to the driver’s safety while its coating affects the axle’s service life.The company the writer is working at is specialized in heavy-duty truck axle assembly and coating. With the production capacity improving and the standards for quality getting higher, the latent problems existing in the original coating line have been exposed. It not just hinder production, but also sabotage the company’s development. In this case, Improve the axle coating quality, improve production efficiency and improve the environmental performance of coating became a company must be the problem to be solved in the process of development.This study aims to improve the axle coating production line spraying process, the robot will be automatically in the coating process is introduced into the traditional coating production line, thus improve the coating quality and production efficiency. According to the above goal, this study specific work is as follows:(1) This paper expounds the purpose and significance of painting line process improvement, industrial coating methods were reviewed and the research status of painting robot at home and abroad.(2) From spraying process and business facilities, reasonable selection of five degrees of freedom of structure scheme, from the perspective of institutional hardware configuration can satisfy the demands of rapid spraying robot motion and face more switching spraying action function. The hardware to improve the spraying robot dynamics performance, to the safe and stable spraying operations.(3) Analysis of the spray gun model, a mathematic model of the work piece surface coating accumulation, using data from the light curtain formed work piece measurement of 2 d lattice model. Spraying zoning, reducing regional gradient single rules, as well as a special case of the more regional cohesion control algorithm, improve the efficiency of unit work-piece coating, to improve the spraying robot mechanical properties. Establish appropriate spraying overlapping width, improve at two sub area connecting coating uniformity.(4) In detail in this paper, the synchronous tracking function realizes development process; Determine appropriate spraying speed. Based on coating accumulation model,simulation of adjacent rules spraying coating uniformity of the width of the overlap between area, and to optimize the parameters.
