As is well known, the greenhouse effect caused by greenhouse gases in the world is urgently to be solved. China as a big country of energy consumption and greenhouse gas emission bears the brunt. It is believed that construction energy consumption accounted for astonishing 30.2% of the total social energy consumption, the energy consumed in the construction stage of the project accounted for 10-15% of the energy consumed of whole life cycle of construction project. Therefore, it can be predicted that the level of carbon emissions of construction will become an important and reasonable indicator in the evaluation of a construction project in the future, its importance may as vital as the importance of control of cost, time and quality in management of project. In this paper, we will found a method of carbon emissions measurement based on BIM(Building Information Modeling), and will define the boundary of carbon emissions of materialized stage of building product. Firstly, the model will be studied from the BIM, including measurement data preparation and the realization of the carbon emissions measurement, and provide a full theoretical solution for carbon emissions measurement of construction phase. Secondly, due to taking the analysis method of measuring carbon emissions based on bill of quantities, carbon emissions information and will be connected with the cost information by the bill of quantities. So that we can achieve the synchronous display of the carbon emissions data and cost data, and establish a feasible way of carrying out the control of costs and carbon emissions synchronously for construction enterprises. Thirdly, in this paper, the model of carbon emissions measurement of materialized stage of building product will be applied in the actual project as an empirical study, demonstrating the usability of the model, verifying the feasibility of the model in the actual project. Finally, this paper will analyse the potential of the application of the model, and the difficulties of using the model in future projects, in order to provide a starting point and solution for the development of green construction.
