| The phenomenon that the final accounts cost of projects exceeds the budget widely exists in the construction industry, therefore strengthening construction cost management in the entire construction process has become the focus of project management. However, under the traditional project delivery mode, it is often the proprietors that make decisions in the early stage of the projec t, and there exist little information interaction among the professional designers. Also, in the construction stage, the participants seldom collaborate with each other, and they only focus on the benefit of their respective companies, which restrict the improvement of the construction cost management level. With the gradual maturity of the Building Information Model(BIM), the Integrated Project Delivery(IPD) mode which uses BIM as technical support can make major participants join the project in early st age of the project, they make decisions collaboratively, design collaboratively, share Information etc., and pay efforts for achieving maximum value of the project.First of all, this paper analyzes the integrated application thinking of the IPD mode and BIM in the construction cost management. Secondly, the key point of the IPD mode implementation, the construction cost management platform system based on BIM, and the collaborative work model in IPD mode are combined to achieve the application of the platform system in the construction cost management. In the process of establishing the platform system, this paper firstly analyses the composition and the overall framework of the system, and then focus on the research of the framework, the structure and the modules component of the BIM-5D model, achieving the automatically generation of quantities bill by the use of BIM modeling/quantity calculation software, and studying the mechanism of time and cost information respectively attaches to the BIM-3D model. Finally, this research studies the establishment process of the platform system in the simulation case; the function realization of the platform system in IPD mode in the each stage of the simulation case is analyzed, including classifying platform system users in IPD mode and innovatively introducing the software We Chat to strengthen the collaborative decision making in the whole process of the project; the application results of the platform system in IPD mode is qualitatively analyzed.Compared with the traditional delivery model, the application of the platform system in IPD mode can improve the construction cost management level of the project. Particularly, by integrating all participants to make decision collaboratively, design collaboratively, and check collision at the early stage of the project, the platform system in IPD mode can effectively reduce the construction cost caused by decision making mistakes and design changes in the construction stage. With the further promotion and implementation of BIM and IPD, the research findings can provide reference for further studies on the integration application of IPD and BIM in construction cost management. |
