Small passenger car automatic clutch system developed in this paper is a modification based on the diaphragm spring clutch, remove the clutch pedal. The principle is that the clutch control unit analysis of signal of each sensor is obtained, the judgment of driver intention, target control instructions issued for the automatic clutch actuator, automatic engaging and disengaging complete clutch. ACS meets the driver to control the car driving pleasure, but also reduce the fatigue of driver because of frequent trample clutch pedal feel, At the same time, ACS has the advantages of simple structure, convenient repair, the use of economic characteristics. In this paper, according to the design and development of automatic clutch executing mechanism of small passenger car, at the same time the actuator control algorithm and the vehicle start engaging control strategy research.This paper analyzes the characteristics of push type diaphragm spring clutch, according to small cars with limited space, the establishment of automatic clutch actuator adopts hydraulic motor, DC motor as a power source, a driving worm, push the clutch master cylinder, hydraulic control of the original car operation mechanism, promote the clutch engagement and separation, and the use of boost spring insufficient torque to overcome the motor startup.Automatic clutch control strategy research, mainly to the automatic clutch system is divided into decision-making layer and execution layer research. The decision-making layer according to the condition of the vehicle and the driver’s intention control command of clutch actuator, the control strategy for decision-making by multi stage fuzzy control. The execution layer according to the target instruction tracking control of clutch actuator, this paper adopts the PID control technique. From the simulation results of Simulink, multi stage decision layer and execution layer fuzzy control technology and PID control technology, can achieve the goal of automatic clutch control requirements are very good.
