With the development of modern industry and the needs of market competition, electronic belt scale is used more and more widely in industrial production. Electronic belt scale can complete various measurements during the operation of machine, it transports the materials or products in a long distance using the belt, the way of working can improve efficiency and output production. The traditional electronic belt scale mainly measures bulk materials, measuring the material flow and controlling the motor speed. However, with the improvement of enterprise automation, a lot of solid work piece also need dynamic weighing and testing. This paper presents a new intelligent electronic belt scale, it can weigh and count the solid work piece in dynamic.The intelligent electronic belt scale designed in this paper is mainly composed of scale frame, sensors and the weighing instrument. The scale frame is the mechanical part of the intelligent electronic belt scale, it supports the solid work piece through the belt scale. The sensors consist of weighing sensor, speed sensor and photoelectric switch. The type of weighing sensor is resistance strain, it measures the dynamic weight of solid work piece. The two weighing sensors are connected in parallel, it can simplify weighing system and improve the noise immunity. The type of speed sensor is photoelectric pulse, it measures roller speed and converts it to belt running speed. The type of photoelectric switch is on the radio, it records the number of solid work piece. The weighing instrument is the core part of this design, it is composed of STM32 MCU minimum system, A/D module, speed signal processing module, counting module, display module, communication module, infrared keyboard and the power circuit. The minimum system of STM32 MCU is the control center of intelligent electronic belt scale. It calculates, stores and displays the weighting signal, speed signal and counting signal. A/D module filters and amplifies the solid work piece weighting signal, and converts the analog signal to digital signal. The speed signal processing module filters and reshapes the roller speed pulse signal to get standard pulse signal. The counting module receives the pulse signal of solid work piece number, and isolates the signal to the digital circuit.Using the detection of automobile aluminum wheel hub as an example introduces the intelligent electronic belt scale designed in this paper, it finds the maximum value of automobile aluminum wheel hub with comparative method, solving the problem of weighing dynamic display. It’s main functions include:measuring the wheel weight, monitoring the belt speed, recording the number of wheel through the belt, setting up the system of running time and roller radius, calculating the total weight of the hub and querying the production of a week.
