China is one of the largest oil consumer in the world. With the development of economy,Chinese crude oil importing is increasing constantly.As the population and industrial energy consumption increase,energy conservation has been the basic requirement for hundreds of years.Diesel generator is a kind of equipment with the advantages of high thermal efficiency,low operating cost,strong load adaptability, easily realizing automation.In some special situations,the demand for diesel generator set is increasing and there’re higher requirements to its function and technical performance.In many places there are remote communities where connection with power grid is too expensive or impractical and diesel generators alone are often the source of electricity,for example oil fields,mine,forest,pastoral areas and national defense engineering,etc,where a diesel generator is needed to supply power independently and to be the main power supply for power or illumination.Fuel consumption is an important indicator of evaluating economic performance of the diesel generator,and it’s an important technical measure method of saving fuel consumption,avoiding fuel waste and reducing emission to make a precise measurement and management to fuel consumption.Although a variety of fuel consumption measurement devices have been successfully designed,there exist some deficiency among most of the fuel monitoring instrument,such as low measuring accuracy,especially in a small range of measurement;a single instrument function, poor function expandability;slow processing speed; complex hardware system,etc.Aiming at the deficiency of the existing fuel consumption monitoring system,a fuel consumption monitoring system of diesel generator based on Win CE was designed and developed which combined with the virtual instrument technology,Zigbee wireless transmission technology and the embedded operating system as the theoretical background. The main research contents and results are as follows.1.According to the actual requirements,an analysis on the system working principle is made and the design scheme of the overall system is put forward.2. The hardware of the system is developed.Turbine flow sensor is chosen as the flow measurement device and the Mitsubishi FXls PLC is chosen to deal with the data transferred from the sensor;ARM8060 motherboard which realize the data real-time display and storage is chosen as system master control module to receive data collected from the PLC;Zigbee data wireless acquisition and transmission module is used to realize the data wireless transmission.3.The software of system is developed.The programming of data acquisition module PLC is introduced,analysis and research to the transplantation method of Windows CE embedded operating system is made,and the ladder diagram language is used to complete the programming of data acquisition module PLC;LabVIEW graphical language is used to complete the programming of the application software under Windows CE operating system.The LabSQL toolkit is used to finish access to Access database,completing the programming of the host computer oil consumption management software,realizing function for data writing and query.4.The experiment validate of measuring accuracy,communication effect and the reliability of the experimental results is made,which indicates that the system works stably,has high accuracy,and the effective distance of wireless transmission can meet the job requirements.
