Brand agriculture village is a new type of village, which is in the dominant position of the brand agriculture in villages and towns, and has a significant role in the local economic and cultural development. It is a new development model that villages and towns depend on the innate advantages of agricultural resources, under the impetus of modern science and technology, though creating and marketing the brand of agricultural products, to achieve the development of agricultural industrialization, drive farmers and rural enterprises to get rich road, it has played a positive role model in agriculture based villages and towns of our country.This paper on the basis of summarizes the relevant research results at home and abroad, analysis the problems and reasons of villages and towns planning that based on the traditional agriculture, put forward the necessity of to transform and upgrade the traditional agriculture, and develop the brand agriculture oriented new villages and towns under the new urbanization background, aim to develop a planning method which is conducive to assist the development of the brand agriculture oriented new villages and towns. This paper list two cases which author participate in during postgraduate period, they are the new villages and towns’ planning about She wopo town in Qixia and the conceptual master planning about Guhe street in Laixi. The purpose is to deepen the planning ideas of the brand agriculture oriented new villages and towns, to form a complete and universal significance planning method of the brand agriculture oriented new villages and towns.This paper expounds the connotation and basic characteristics of the brand agriculture and the brand agriculture oriented new villages and towns, from the village system, layout structure model, planning, program management and other aspects of the recommendations to do the specific planning studies about the brand agriculture oriented new villages and towns, it propose a three-tier architecture which is suit to develop the brand agriculture oriented new villages and towns, this architecture is “township——central village——family farms and villages”, and the most appropriate population size and the layout structure model of township, central village and family farms and villages, a total of three innovative points. These studies can provide a reference for the future research of agriculture based towns, it also has certain practical significance for the guidance of the work about village planning in the future.
