Urbanization level and auto industry has been further improved as the economic and social developing rapidly, the resulting problems related to traffic congestion and environmental pollution have become increasingly apparent. To relieve the pressure of urban transport systems, scientific and rational optimization of urban transportation structure and a reliable passengers flow forecast should be regarded as preconditions. In addition to the internal system factors, many outside factors must be considered in passenger flow forecast such as social economic, urban development and regional morphology, in the outside factors, the urban morphology and bridges construction directly affect the layout of the urban traffic network, and they make important influences on resident trip. The riverside city is one of the common and typical urban morphology, the paper will study urban passenger flow forecast method and the reasonable bridge layout with this urban morphology intensively. In reference on the related literature, firstly the paper introduces the advantages, disadvantages and applicable range of several common flow forecast methods briefly, by comparing, the paper chooses the “four stages” method to acquire transport passenger forecast. Secondly, to improve forecast mode, the paper import degree of decay, which is used to adjust the partake rate of walking. Finally the paper make an example of Songyuan City, based on the improved passenger flow forecast in 2020, the paper establish an objective function to discuss the bridges layout planning, and make suggestion on bridges construction in future.
