With the development of social economy, the amount of constructions, and the demand of human for building comfort, the proportion of building energy consumption in total social energy consumption has been increasing year by year. In recent years, the concept of Green Building has been recognized gradually. Passive House is an important research category of Green Building and is an important development direction in the future. It is in line with the current construction field of reducing the energy consumption, and the concept of green and sustainable architecture. Passive House is designed to adapt to natural conditions.The structure of building envelope with excellent insulation and air tightness, and the use of fresh air heat recovery technology helps houses make full use of renewable energies, reducing the need for mechanical heating and cooling. Therefore, Passive House provides comfortable indoor environment, and meets the basic requirements of Green Building.Compared to traditional constructions, Passive House has distinctive advantages, which is illustrated by the significant decreasing of energy demand for HAVC. According to former research, the energy saving rate of Passive House is more than 90% in cold areas. Firstly, compared with the current national energy saving design standard, the heating energy consumption could be reduced by more than 85%.That is to say, Passive House is more energy efficient.Secondly, indoor temperature and humidity are more moderate and comfortable. Thirdly, with the uniformity and stability of external walls’ surface temperature, the indoor and outdoor temperature difference is smaller. Fourthly, with good air tightness and insulation, indoor environment is quieter. And with indoor air purification technologies, the air is fresher. Lastly, Passive House has higher building quality and longer service life due to outstanding products, construction and decoration integration.According to the relevant national and Shandong Provincial technical standards and domestic and international research results, this thesis summed up theories and practical experience of Passive House. By literature summarizing field researching and experts consulting, this thesis analyzed the development of Passive House in Shandong. On the other hand, this thesis presented existing construction problems including the lack of professional and comprehensive propaganda, related industry support professional construction technologies, design and evaluation standards, and certification system.This thesis could promote the development of corresponding strategies for Passive House in Shandong region, and even in the cold region.This studied research key technologies of Passive House in Shandong Province. Considering current situation and demonstration projects in Shandong area, this work put forward energy-saving technologies of Passive House, and testing, project identification and operation management based on already released energy conservation design standards and technical guidelines. The thesis provided technical guidance and reference for the development of Passive House design, construction, operation, and maintenance in Shandong area. What’s more, this thesis pointed out that Passive House is significant to solve haze, to improve living conditions of residents, and to promote social sustainable development.
