Since the birth of CAD (Computer Aided Design) in the 60’s, it has brought tremendous changes to workers of engineering design work. Using CAD software, the designer can effectively manage large amounts of information, through using the CAD three-dimensional modeling function, the traditional 2D drawings can be drew into a vivid three-dimensional structure, combining with the function of the subsequent analysis optimization, CAD becomes an indispensable tool for engineering design and analysis.Concept of parametric emerged with CAD, Traditional CAD three-dimensional modeling software focus on a fixed size, but in actual product design process, from concept design, theoretical calculation to optimization analysis and topological relationship of structure is fixed, but the size information is always changing. We need the knowledge of parametric on how to reflect the dynamic changes of size into models rather than rebuild a model every time. CAD software control is constrained by parameters, achieving the purpose of dimension drive and completing the dynamic modification of model. This paper bases on the 3D modeling software Pro/ENGINEER and the software Pro/Toolkit which integrates application and software to make the parametric design for a three cylindrical gear reducer of a ship turret swing mechanism. At present, there are many examples of parametric for gear reducer, but most driver objects are still spare parts and just focus on the establishment process of standard parts library. In this paper, the parameter objects are parts, components and the assembly, the reducer is divided by shaft module and modules are got constraints by meshing. The objective of the model is to do the virtual reliability test, so the model is needed to be appropriate simplified to make the analysis of software interface more convenient. The most important is to consider the random error, which means to reflect the real situation of reducer to parameterization model. In view of this, in the following study of constraints to finite element analysis and the identification ability of finite element analysis software to CAD model, simplify details as chamfer, remove the main failure parts that only play restraining role such as cover, and the application of half plane constraint method reduces the difficulty of subsequent mesh model, obtained the good interface solution. Considering the randomness, write a random number generator based on Monte Carlo method, and loaded it to the model for the convenience of the following finite element analysis.This paper has the versatility for parametric, automatic assembly and so on, contains a wide range of application. For the virtual reliability test, this paper makes a further processing of the model, which can make the reliability analysis of reducer product more accurate and improve its quality consequently. |
