Shear wall structure is one of the main structures in high-rise buildings, and it is widely used in modern high-rise buildings. High-rise construction period is long, and investment is large, so it is necessary to analysis and optimization design of the overall structure, to obtain the optimal structure scheme and save money.This paper will take a 18-story shear wall residential in Xi’an as the engineering examples, with the optimum principle of the thickness of the shear wall and the reasonable layout, in order to optimize the layout of the structure. The calculation software PKPM is applied to structure design of our country’s most commonly used, a high-rise shear wall residential example is calculated, this structure to meet the drawing standards, optimization measures proposed in this paper to the original model of the layout and structure parameters were examined before and after modification, optimization of dynamic characteristics, the deformation of the structure situation, internal force characteristics, and to optimize the structure scheme of the whole, economic analysis, found that after the structure optimization design has been generally improved, verifies the necessity and effectiveness of optimization design.This research plays a positive role in improving the understanding and research of high-rise building structure design, making structure design more economic and reasonable, improving the ratio of construction products, reducing the cost of the whole community.
