Some pressure vessels such as cyclone separator need to set long circular hole due to the structure and process requirements, and some large opening also bear external load such as nozzle force and moment. The caculation method of opening reinforcement, is beyond the scope of the conventional design method.The security and reliability of the equipment is not guaranteed.By using the method of stress analysis to solve such a problem, is a good solution.This article describes the method of finite element stress analysis, ANSYS program, by using elastic stress analysis and the plastic failure criteria. Set up finite element model of opening structure for cyclone separator to do stress analysis.The stress distribution of reinforcement structure is obtained. Do modeling analysis of the opening reinforcement structure of the cyclone separator. Using finite element method to conduct a comprehensive analysis,in order to design a reinforcing structure that meet the requirements, so as to guarantee the safety of the equipment. The application of Stress analysis in pressure vessel design is important.It has great prospects for development in the field of conventional design can’t calculation.
