Railway construction in modern China starting late, the traditional railway station as a single railway transportation node the design of the exploitation and utilization should break through. Since the measure of the passenger railway station and the large-scale of the passenger station building, the city texture, traffic load of the roads surrounding the station area and the exploitation and utilization is different form the other area, and then influence the residents travel and city life, and even urban spatial structure. How to combine the Railway Station area and the original urban space, seek joint development is the specific exosystem level problem which our countries relies on the railway line to promote the city’s further development.Beijing as one of the oldest cities in modern China built the railway and the railway stations is the beginning and the end of multiple lines. Though there were lots of investigation about streamline and layout mode of railway station, but there is not much research on the relationship between station and urban space. Therefore it neglected the diverse function and highly complex needs of land requirements. Based on the situation above, this paper takes four of the passenger railway station in Beijing as research object, Beijing Railway Station, Beijing West Railway Station, Beijing South Railway Station, Beijing North Railway Station. Through on-the-spot investigation to find out problems, then compare the following aspects.From the close relationship between the urban functions of the contemporary passenger railway station and the urban find out the influence factors of the station area spatial form and urban morphology, as buildings and their associated open space, land and streets, gives the comparative analysis of the Beijing Railway Station and typical cases abroad; It included the influence of the block scale of the station region, the road type and density on urban traffic load; the influence of the rail station’s building area, the building density of the core area on urban fabric and the public space around; the influence of the integrate station space on the landmark. Make a summary of restricted relationship between the development of the station area spatial form and urban form based on comparing and analyzing, and proposes some suggestions for the synergetic development of railway station and urban form.
