Research On High-Speed Rail Freight Express Based On Combined Transportation

With the rapid development of China’s market economy, the traditional railway freight, equipment and facilities have been unable to meet the new transportation demands from modern Ecommerce. For this reason, the reform and innovation of railway freight transportation are badly needed. The building of a fast, safely, efficiently high-speed rail freight express has brought a new idea. In order to take full advantage of abundant resources and advanced high-speed rail technology to finish the whole logistics services, high-speed rail freight express should be effectively integrated into the combined transport network systems so that the great economic and social benefits can be released. The combination of high-speed rail freight express and other transport modes has an important practical significance for the realization of high-speed rail freight express and today’s transport development.Firstly, this paper introduces the development status of domestic and foreign high-speed rail freight express, and puts forward the concept of high-speed rail freight transport and the transport organization. Secondly, the economic feasibility of high-speed rail express is analyzed. Then, based on the comparison of four different high-speed rail express operation programs, the technical conditions of high-speed rail freight express and transport organization conditions of the combination of high speed rail freight express and other modes are analyzed.With sufficient freight categories and transport capacity, this paper establishes a transport organization model so as to find optimal transport route and transport mode in the combined transport service network. Based on the arrival time of freight, the model aims to minimize the general total transport cost. Then, a heuristic algorithm is used to solve the model and an example is also applied to validate the model and its algorithm. The model and algorithm demonstrates that the combined transport organization mode based on the high-speed rail freight express is feasible in theory, which provides the basis for actual transport activities.
