The Research On Architectural Energy Saving Management Of US "Energy Star Project"

In this paper, the related concepts were firstly introduced, then the current domestic and foreign research status of building energy-saving were described, and finally the building energy management tools of the United States "Energy Star Program" was focused on. The functions and features of Portfolio Manager were introduced, and the Financial Value Calculator and Building Upgrade Value Calculator were analyzed through case study. What’s more, the investigation on the main representative "Energy Star " managers, sponsors and contractors were analyzed, and then the results and the influence of Energy Star was summarized. Based on the above research, a comparison of the difference between Energy Star Building Certification of USA and Building Energy Efficiency Labeling of China was conducted on both their evaluation object and product certification, building evaluation, application effect and influence. Lastly, the study found that:(1) Energy Star focused on product promotion and the application of related software tools; (2) The financial incentive system of Energy Star has greatly increased the consumer’s trust and participation, and promoted the success of the project; (3) The overall level of Building Energy Efficiency Labeling was far behind Energy Star. According to the results, this article put forward the corresponding suggestions on China’s building energy saving management.
