The drainage network, sewage plants, pumping stations and storage pools constitute the drainage system, which is an important infrastructure for the development of the city. As an indispensable part of the urban drainage system, drainage pumping stations are used to enhance the domestic sewage, industrial wastewater and storm water pumping to the lower reaches of the sewers, sewage plants or rivers. Therefore, the planning, operation and scientific management of the urban pumping station are an important guarantee for the safe operation of the city.In recent years, with the rapid development of urban social economy, the scale of the city and the population are increasing, while the rain and sewage capacities dealt by the drainage system are increasing, too. Currently, Kunming urban drainage system is faced with enormous pressure and challenge, and the existing problems of drainage pumping station operation and management are increasingly apparent. The drainage capacity of partial areas is seriously inadequate; aging of drainage pumping station is serious; most of pumping stations have the old equipment and run always long-term overloaded. The operation of pumping station exists greater hidden danger, which is required scientific evaluation index system and model to evaluate and analyze the aging degree of pumping station, for the pumping station renewal transformation and urban flood control planning to provide support.Aiming at the existing problems in the operation and management of the urban drainage pumping station, we use the fuzzy analytic hierarchy process to evaluate the aging degree of the pumping station in this paper. The main work of present study includes:(1) With a research on the theory and method of analytic hierarchy process (AHP) and fuzzy comprehensive evaluation, the evaluation method of urban pumping station based on fuzzy analytic hierarchy process are proposed.(2) Based on the AHP and the characteristic of urban pumping station operation management and safe evaluation, the aging evaluation index system of pumping station, structure the judgment matrix and get index weight are designed and established. Based on the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method, we design the expert scoring table and establish the fuzzy subjection matrix of the evaluation of pumping station, and then combined with the weight and subjection matrix to evaluate aging results.(3) With the Kunming municipal drainage pumping station as the research object, we analyze the aging status of the pumping station and collect aging index data of pumping station. Based on the fuzzy hierarchy analysis method we establish the aging evaluation model, and use the model to evaluate Kunming city’s pumping station’s aging degree, including more than 20 pumping stations, and give the evaluation process and results. The results show that the aging evaluation method based on fuzzy analytic hierarchy process could be used to evaluate and analyze the aging degree of pumping station scientifically, comprehensively and quantitatively.(4) Based on the ArcGIS platform, the visual display and analysis of the aging evaluation result and other information for pumping station are implemented.
