Resarch On Claims Of Contractor In Hydropower Engineering Construction

Because of the gradual integration with the international community,the project claims began to spread into the country,our engineers begin to explore how to solve the engineering claims dispute with the theory.The claims involves the engineering technology,laws and regulations,project cost,contract management,public relations, and other knowledge, especially in hydropower engineering.The claims management theory has been used very widely in developed countries, but in our country it is still in groping stage.In this paper,the issue of the contractor’s project claims which is in hydropower has been researched and analyze with systematically.The first part is the basic principle of the project claims; it expounds the meaning, classification, basis and program of claims.The duration and cost of claims has been discussed in detail.In the second part,the paper research and analysis the key issues of project claims such as bidding,contract management,project management,cost management,document management, owner of project engineer and so on, in order to explore the successful methods of claims.The third section analyses the typical claims cases to my participation in the project, so as to explore the contractor’s claims status in hydropower engineering construction.In order to improve the level of claims management and improve the economic benefit, the paper explores the future development direction of claims management.
