Study On Black Start Technology Of The Wind Farm

When the power grid suffered a large area blackout) it must be gradually restored the power supply by black start, therefore, the choice of black start power supply is particularly critical. Normally, hydropower is the first choice of black start power supply. In recent years, the wind power installed capacity has grown rapidly,Wind power has become the third largest power source after the hydroelectric> thermal power.The wind turbine has the advantages of small single capacity, quick response, etc.For wind resource rich region, if the wind turbine can be used to realize the black start, as a black start power supply option, it has important significance for the rapid recovery of power supply after severe failure of the regional power network. Combined with the requirement of black start, this paper studies the operating characteristics of the wind turbine, and analyzes the external power supply for the black start of the wind turbine, and proposes a new converter SCADA system with black start function.Firstly, through modeling and simulation, this paper studies the double-fed and direct-drive wind turbine operation characteristics, grasp the corresponding characteristics of speed, power, pitch angle. Furthermore, considering the randomness of wind power, the operation characteristics of wind farm output are analyzed, and the wind farm FACTS device characteristics, is studied.Secondly, the external power supply of the wind turbine black start is analyzed, and the main types of the external power supply are compared, and the power supply capacity of a 1.5MWdouble-fed wind turbine for black star is estimated. Furthermore, considering the economic benefit, the external power configuration mode of the wind farm is compared, and an external power selection scheme for the black start of wind farm is proposed.Finally, in order to make up for the deficiency of conventional wind farm SCADA system, a new converter SCADA system with black start control function is proposed. The function of the system is designed and developed. The system can be used to monitor and control the working state of the converter.
