With the advent of the knowledge economy era and the development of science information technology, the demands for product diversification are growing, which brings about great changes in many ways. For instance, the market for the manufacturing industry changes rapidly, the competition among enterprises becomes fierce and the innovation of product design turns rough. When researching of push process of product design knowledge, several handicaps rise: how to meet the needs of users’ preferences for product design, the fast, efficient and overall accessibility of valuable design knowledge for the designers, how to improve the working efficiency for knowledge push. All of those problems are destined for the purposes of shortening product development cycles, accelerating the release of new product to the market, and enhancing technological innovation ability. Effective knowledge push is a guarantte for the above achievements.In this paper, based on the user group of the product design and the key technology of knowledge push was studied, including user clustering modeling, product design knowledge modeling, design knowledge evaluation, and product design knowledge push, etc., and thus build the knowledge push product design based on user clustering prototype system. The paper main research content is as follows:1) Introduces the related theory and the theory of ontology content product design knowledge, analyzed the product design based on user group should have the basic requirement of knowledge push system, and based on this, advances the knowledge push technology of product design based on the user group.2) Studied the user clustering modeling method based on preferences. Based on the analysis on the user’s preference information, the model based on the preferences of the user group to make a formal definition and build model, studies the key technical points in the model: preference diffusion and preferences; Then put forward a kind of realization of users based on clustering algorithm, and tests the validity of the algorithm.3) Based on users based on knowledge of product design are studied. Through the analysis of product design knowledge, product design knowledge for conceptual system of subdivision, put forward the model of design knowledge representation based on ontology, and knowledge using ontology modeling tools Protégé modeling example analysis; In the knowledge based on ontology is analyzed based on the user group of product design knowledge map; Then study the knowledge of design domain knowledge base, puts forward a design of enterprise knowledge integration evaluation model, and design personnel’s knowledge contribution evaluation of the enterprise to make analysis.4) Based on users based on knowledge of product design are studied to push mode. Introduces the knowledge navigation model based on meta model and knowledge model, and constructed based on the user navigation model based on knowledge situation. Then based on the user group to push the process to make product design knowledge is introduced, and construction of knowledge push model, analyzing the related contents in the model layer.5) Based on Web Service technology to build the product design knowledge push prototype system based on user clustering; Using UML technology on the system are analyzed, and part of the use case diagram is given; Finally the realization process and related operation interface of the system.
