Study On The Preventative Maintenance Of The Asphalt Pavement

With the increase in mileage, for highway maintenance department, their burden becom e heavier, that implementation of the highway prevention and maintenance is to prolong the service life of the road becomes the urgent affairs of the relevant departments. The application of preventive maintenance technology in economically developed count ries has been more common, but it started latter in China, the development of the technical measures is not mature. In order to cope with the arrival of the peak period of maintenance, and realize the cost of the highway maintenance minimization and maximization of social benefits, highway maintenance departments should accelerate the prevention maintenance related technology research and take effective measures, which in lengthening the service life, reducing the cost of highway maintenance, improving service level of highway mainte nance and resource utilization have important significance.In this paper combining with highway asphalt pavement major disease types by the present investigation and according to existing asphalt pavement performance evaluation index system, study on the determination of the timing of pavement preventive maintenance. Meanwhile, analysising of the asphalt pavement preventive maintenance based on the domestic research, combining with the practical application in Qinghai Province, put forward the technical measures of asphalt pavement preventive maintenance, applicable condition and structure type.
