With the rapid growth of society and economy, the demand of electricity continues to grow. Power shortage appeared frequently for a long time during the peak period because of the relative lag of power construction. With the society pay more attention to the environment and the energy efficiency, simply depends on increasing the installed capacity to meet the growing demand for electricity was held in check. As one of the important incentives of demand response, interruptible load is an effective means to solve this problem. In this context, interruptible load scheduling algorithm, application of interruptible load scheduling technology are proposed and studied on the basis of the scheduling of interruptible load.Firstly, the paper introduced the concept of interruptible load and its significance in the electric power system. Then summarized the interruptible load projects at home and abroad and designed the interruptible load contract content. Based on the multiple time scale coordination, divided the interruptible load contract type into three kinds, monthy,dayahead and emergency. Finally the paper set up the interruptible load scheduling model in different time scales.Based on the interruptible load scheduling model, the application of the various algorithms in interruptible load scheduling is studied, including intelligent algorithms such as genetic algorithm, particle swarm optimization and the priority list method.Then analysed different algorithms and their performance in the application of interruptible load scheduling problem.Research the application of the multiple time scale of interruptible load. Based on the study of interruptible load model and its scheduling method, the paper studied the application of interruptible load such as reducing the electrcity demand in the system peak time, joint optimization scheduling with power generation side and the application of engaging in transmission congestion dispatch. At last, established the scheduling models of different applications and verified the impact of interruptible load in power system under different scenarios.
