A Research On The Effect Of Safety Climate To Employee Safety Behavior In Construction Enterprise

In recent years, there were some safety accidents appeared in construction industry,and most of these accidents were caused by unsafe behavior. The unsafe behavior usuallycaused by some environmental factors in the organization, and safety climate is such anenvironmental factor overlooked in accident analysis. So, the article tries to make a studyon the relationship between safety climate and safety behavior in construction industry,and put forward some suggestions to improve the construction enterprise’s safety level.First of all, through referring to relevant literature, the article made a theory researchon safety climate and safety behavior, summed up the dimensions of safety climate inconstruction enterprise: management commitment, hardware environment, safety regime,safety consciousness.And proposed the hypothesis on the relationship between the safetyclimate and safety behavior, institued the model of the safety climate impacting on safetybehavior. Then, the present situation of the safety climate in the construction enterprisewas investigated through the methord of questionnaire survey, the existing problems wereanalyzed. The analysis shows that the safety climate is good as a whole, but the scores ofsafety regime and safety consciousness are a little low.Secondly, using the AMOS software to fit the model, and made a causal effectanalysis to the fitting datas. The analysis shows that the safety climate has a significantpositive effect on safety behavior in construction enterprise. Thereinto, the hardwareenvironment and safety consciousness have a direct positive effect on safety behavior; themanagement commitment and safety regime have an indirect positive effect on safetybehavior; also, the management commitment has a direct or indirect effect to otherdimensions of safety climate. At last, according to the results of the cause-and-effectanalysis and the current situation of safety climate, some suggestions for the establishmentof safety climate were raised.
