Brick building is one of the most common Chinese Architectural style in 20 th century. On the other hand, as a typical historical building component, Plain brick wall, explained the evolution and development of architectural art, materials science and construction technology in this period, witnessed the changes of modern Chinese cities. In recent years, along with our country gradually pay attention to the 20 th heritage buildings, conservation and restoration projects are increasing rapidly. However, because of the misalignment in the pathological diagnosis of heritage buildings in early repair stage which leads to improper selection of repair technology and strategy. Seriously affects the renovation of heritage buildings, and even cause the destruction again.To form a complete and effective evaluation conclusion which could guides the repair work effectively. In order to protected the heritage building to the maximum extent under the principle of minimum intervention. Therefore, this paper uses the plain brick facade of heritage building in 20 th in Beijing area as the research object, based on the analysis of degradation phenomena and mechanism, to established a evaluation system which based on quantitative analysis of deterioration. And on this basis, explore the suitability of the choice of repair technology of heritage buildings and the integrated application of repair strategy.This paper is divided into nine chapters:Chapter I: Introduction. This paper mainly discusses the research background, object, significance, contents and methods. Evaluate the related research, explain the meaning of the concept and terminology and illustrates the framework and innovation of this paper.Chapter II: Degradation research. Introduces the characteristics of the plain brick facade of heritage building in 20 th in Beijing area, and analyzes the phenomenon, the causes and mechanism effects of brick material deterioration.Chapter III: Degradation situation investigation. Introduce the status quo of the protection of heritage buildings at this stage in Beijing area in 20 th. Investigate 234 heritage buildings to evaluate the deterioration situation preliminary. Then, analyzes the characteristics and the regularity of deterioration occurs by the deterioration of the curve. And put forward the concept of expert diagnosis database.Chapter IV: Evaluation system construction. Analysis and comparison of the assessment strategy, method and system structure of heritage buildings in China and abroad. Establish a framework of evaluation system based on quantitative analysis of heritage building brick facade in 20 th. And discuss the content of the heritage building assessment guidelines.Chapter V: Field survey evaluation. Analyzes and comments the evaluation work and content system of field research part, including evaluation planning, preliminary historical data research, field research, site assessment and special inspection. Focus on the analysis of the deterioration of judgment and the pathological diagnosis method. And describe the surveying and mapping records and data collection of the deterioration phenomenon.Chapter VI: Quantitative evaluation. Analyze the common methods of quantitative evaluation. Establish an evaluation method which combining with qualitative subjective estimate and quantitative analysis. Focuses on the establishment of the index system, weight calculation, the degree of deterioration of the index calculation of the quantitative evaluation, and puts forward the standard of the deterioration degree of the brick wall of the heritage building. And then, calculate and analysis the durability of brick wall which based on the conclusion of the quantitative evaluation.Chapter VII: Repair technology and strategy. Introduces and analyzes the main technology to repair brick buildings. Evaluate the suitable repair technology of brick wall combined with the quantitative conclusion of this research. Summarize and put forward the strategy of restoration strategy integration. Subsequently, express the preventive protection of the brick wall of heritage building.Chapter VIII: Evaluation and application of engineering case. Evaluate the actual engineering case, study and evaluate the assessment work. Through the investigation, using evaluation system to calculate the deterioration status of heritage buildings, and evaluate the repair works of heritage building.Chapter IX: Conclusion and prospect. To summarize research emphasis of this article, and prospected the subsequent research and its development direction.
