Investigation On Individual Influence Mechanism And Governance Of Construction Workers’ Unsafe Behavior

The construction industry is one of the pillar industries of the national economy which people can’t leave. However, the unstable security situation has caused a huge negative impact on both the development of the industry and social stability. People’s unsafe behavior occupies about 80% of the cause to the accident and therefore it is important to take actions to manage construction workers’ unsafe behavior. However, current studies on construction workers’ unsafe behavior haven’t described the characteristic of the workers and the mechanism of workers’ unsafe behavior. It’s proved that construction workers’ unsafe behavior management based on behavioral mechanism is efficient, therefore to work with the topic using the methodology of the combination of quantitative and qualitative analysis have the important theoretic significance and practical worth.First and foremost, after analyzing articles on factors influencing construction workers’ unsafe behavior, the paper extracts the behavioral mechanism and governance mode. And then, after observing two construction sites for two months, the paper concludes the characteristics of construction workers’ unsafe behavior and modifying the theoretical model above to eliminate the influencing factors not common and the model is then validated.And then the present paper applying of SPSS and AMOS to process data collected from 465 questionnaires about construction workers’ unsafe behavior to analysis the correctness of the model above and then modified it, resulting of a series of systematization and pertinent countermeasures. The results show that safety cognition and safety ability have significant impact on individual behavioral performance. Meanwhile, safety management, safety education, safety input have significant impact on safety recognition, safety ability and have a strong indirect effect on the results of safety management and system running through influencing safety cognition and safety ability.Last but not least, in accordance with the above model, the paper puts forward he management measures for its implementation with the basic guiding ideology on the basis of the cultivation of safety cognition model, and reckon shaping the security ability as the core, safety input as basic guarantee, starting with safety education and strengthen safety management, such as raising the training system which is mainly on security agencies education and training onsite subsidiary, establishing safety education of visual, experienced and diversified, building the law criterion for administration charge, improving the management system of administration charge, promoting the standardization of safety management measures such as the public supervision.Research on construction workers’ unsafe behavior based on mechanism of personal behavior helps to improve the theory of construction workers’ unsafe behavior. Meanwhile, the management methods focusing three core elements and two individual dimensions will also guide the project management practice.
