The Research On The Propagation Characteristics And Mechanism Of Unsafe Behavior For Construction Workers

Construction industry is important to promote the development of society. However, the safety accident rate still remains high. According to the various causes of accidents, series of studies show that man’s insecure behavior plays the main role in numerous construction accidents. At present, lots of researchers focus on studying of individual unsafe behavior and ignore the interactivity among worker group of construction, which is hard to solve the problem of variety and complexity in individual unsafe behaviors. But individual unsafe behavior rising to group level always follows certain propagation laws. It is conducive to pay more attention on research propagation laws of the unsafe behavior for construction workers, which is help to solve the multiple and frequent phenomena caused by unsafe behavior of construction workers. Also it can help a lot to block the passing of the unsafe behavior from sporadic individuals to the frequent group, so as to effectively cut down the incidence of unsafe behavior and reduce the occurrence of safety accidents. Therefore, it is urgent to implement the study on the propagation laws of the unsafe behavior of construction workers, based on which the management level of construction managers can be improved.Based on the theory of behaviorism, the propagation dynamics and the structure equation theory, and through the methods of field interviews, graph theory analysis, model construction,empirical study, etc, this paper analyzes the propagation features and propagation mechanism of unsafe behavior in construction workers. Specific content as follows:1. This paper concludes the group characteristics of construction workers and the description of the phenomenon and concept of unsafe behavior for construction workers based on behavior observation, semi-structured interview, literature analysis etc.2. This paper analyzes the propagation process of unsafe behavior for construction workers;Based on the behaviorism theory based on the propagation dynamics model of typical infectious disease, by constructing theoretical model, and analyzes the propagation process of construction workers’ unsafe behavior based on theoretical analysis, graph analysis etc.3. This paper identifies the factors that affect the construction workers safety behavior based on the research above, literature analysis and theoretical analysis method; This paper qualitatively analyzes of unsafe behavior for construction workers based on the recognition ofinfluential factors, and through case analysis and other methods; This paper quantitatively studies the unsafe behavior for construction workers based on the structural equation theory, and by constructing a structural equation model and software analysis method.4. The measures that the prevention and control of unsafe behavior for construction workers were realized based on the researched content, and the theoretical analysis method.Research results show the following:The propagation of unsafe behavior for construction workers can realize unsafe behaviors’ replication, evolution and diffusion. The realization and deterioration of propagation process including behavior contact, intention conception, trying experience, and enhanced dispersion. The two main propagation modes are demonstration imitation and infecting conformity.Demonstration imitation is with features of fast propagation speed, smaller range,stronger power and intuitive content; Infecting conformity is with features of slow propagation speed, large range, weaker power and abstract content. Demonstration imitation can realize individual unsafe behavior develops to group unsafe behavior occasionally, and infecting conformity can cause new individual unsafe behavior, at last they form a vicious circle.Affecting factors act on the unsafe behaviors’ propagation, and show a role relationship;Individual security quality and safety atmosphere etc. are negative related with propagation.The inconvenience of task and safety appliance etc. is positive related with propagation. The influence of key person and the close degree of group members etc. cause bilateral catalytic effect to propagation of unsafe behaviors for construction workers. Moreover, the influence of key person etc. is related with demonstration imitation mode observably, and the close degree of group members etc. is related with herd infection mode observably.
