With the increasing of building energy consumption and increasingly prominent of environment problem,Building energy conservation had got more and more attention from government.And the improvement and optimization of building palisade structure is the main way to increase the efficiency of building energy conservation.External insulation system has developed for decades,and there are a variety of insulation materials in the market.In recent years,the inorganic insulation materials are emerging because of its good performance of fireproof and insulation.The inorganic insulation materials has been used in palisade structure as thermal insulation layer more and more in civil and industrial buildings.The widespread use of external insulation system,however,some durability problems gradually revealed.Some buildings’ external insulation system appears crack,flake,even fall off, causing property losses andcasualties.The study of security problems of external thermal insulation system is very necessary.As a part of NSFC,the weatherability and security of external insulation system of inorganic insulation materials were studied.This paper choose two kinds of insulation materials :thermal insulation glazed hollow bead mortar and modified polystyrene board. The weatherability of external insulation system with tile on wall were studied.Specific studies are as follows:1.The experimental study of weatherability of external insulation system.The external insulation system of thermal insulation glazed hollow bead mortar and inorganic modified EPS board were constructed by professionals in accordance with the relevant specification construction method. And maintain it in reference of relevant standard after construction completion. Then placed the sample of insulation system in the weatherability test box, debug the equipment and program. Start the test when everything is okay. According to the requirements of weatherability test, 80 times hot-rain cycles and 5 times hot-cool cycles were set up in the operation program. Experimental results shows: after weatherability test, these two kinds of external thermal insulation system were not appear empty drum and fall off phenomenon, the walls were in good condition.2.The experimental study of adhesive strength. Adhesive strength is an important index to evaluate the safety of external thermal insulation system. In order to study the change rule of adhesive strength in the process of weatherability test, numbers of little sample of external insulation system weremade and put into test box. In the process of test, the samples will be taken out in different stage. Two kinds of adhesive strength were tested: the adhesive strength of tile and adhesive strength between insulation layer and rendering coat. The test result shows: after weatherability test,the adhesive strength between insulation mortar and rendering coat is greater than 0.1MPa,and the adhesive strength between modified EPS board rendering coat is greater than0.1MPa.Both of two kinds of insulation systems’ tile adhesive strength were greater than 0.4MPa.It is clear that these two kinds of thermal insulation system can meet the requirement of specification for adhesive strength and security.3.The experimental study of impact test. After weatherability test, two kinds of thermal insulation systems all carry on the 10 J level anti impact test.Test result shows: Two kinds of thermal insulation system can meet the impact resistance of 10 J level, which indicates that thermal insulation mortar and modified polystyrene board can be used in the first floor and more than first floor of the building external thermal insulation system.4.Based on the two insulation system of numerical simulation,obtained two system of each structural layer temperature maximum and minimum value, and the results were compared to the test results, simulation results and experiment results appear some differences. The reason for this is that the test environment is complex and changeable, numerical simulation can’t completely accord to testing conditions. But qualitatively, the simulation results are consistent with the experiment, and the thermal insulation effect of modifiedpolystyrene board system is better.The above research and experimental results provide theoretical support for the relevant research of the thermal insulation system in the future,but also provide a reference for the development of inorganic thermal insulation materials.
