The Research Of Monument Protection And Reuse In The Yuexiu District Of Guangzhou

Yuexiu district is the most oldest centre city of Guangzhou,it’s the cradleland of Guangzhou city, the two thousand years historical development of Guangzhou was proved by the amount of monument heritage in Yuexiu District. Recently, during the backgraound of development in the protection and reuse of the architectural heritage, some effects were made in Yuexiu district, most of the monument were repaired and protected in a good way. But at the same time, there are lots of monument haven’t been good protected and reasonable reused, they were involved in unresonable use damaged, or damaged by the nature because of unused in a long time. How to protect and reuse the monument in a better and more comprehensive way, and make an effect in the reuse of monument, is worth of discussing.Base on the comprehensive survey of the monument in Yuexiu district of Guangzhou, the character of the monument’s distribution was summarized, classification of the monument was made refer to the relevant standard, and the current situation protection and reuse of the monument was summarized by the different class of the monument. Moreover, base on the effect of the protection and reuse in the Yuexiu monument, the monument distributions of the exhibition display mode, business finance mode, office mode, comprehensive utilization mode were drew. At the end of the thesis, the strategy of the monument protection and reuse was made. Firstly, in the single building level, different kind of mode matching condition were discussed base on the exhibition display mode, office mode, Comprehensive utilization mode; Secondly, at the district level, the successful experience heritage trait buildt by HongKong was taken as an example, and base on the character of the monument’s distribution and classification, 5 heritage trait were planned.The topic of the heritage trait are “Religious Temples, Cultural education of historic, Celebrities’ former residences, Modern revolutionary historic, Modern historic economic civilization development”. Survay and deliberation of the protection and reuse of the monument in Yuexiu district of Guangzhou were made in a systematic way, the research of this thesis will be a good example of the other monument protection and reuse research, and will make a good effect in the promotion and development of the historical culture and the development of the city economic and tourist culture.
