Study On The Protection And Reuse Of Industrial Heritage In Nanchang

The industrial heritage is a symbol of human wisdom and civilization in a specific historical period.It has unique historical,cultural,scientific,technological and economic value,and plays an important role in the process of human society development and urban construction.At present,the world has entered the post-industrial era,when the traditional manufacturing industry is gradually weakening and the scope of urban industry is gradually shrinking.And with the "retreat into the three" process speeding up,it has become an urgent research issue to protect and reuse the industrial heritages from the old urban districts today.Jiangxi Province began to develop modern industry after the port opening in Jiujiang,when "Tianjin Treaty" was signed in 1858.It's one of the earliest provinces and cities which open to the outside world.And as its capital city,Nanchang is also one of the key industrial cities in new China.However,from the transformation of the urban industry in the 90 s to the "reconstruction of the old city" today,a large amount of valuable industrial heritage was abandoned or even disappeared in Nanchang.And coupled with that people haven't got the correct understanding of the industrial heritage,the industrial heritage of Nanchang is now facing a serious situation and it permits no delay to research the industrial heritage protection of Nanchang City.In this dissertation,it is all-roundly interpreted and researched to protect and reuse the industrial heritage of Nanchang City under the general background.Firstly,the current domestic and overseas situation of the industrial heritage protection is introduced,as well as the one in Jiangxi region.And a clear definition of the relevant concepts is given,while the importance of industrial heritage protection is emphasized.Then the domestic and foreign theoretical and practical achievements are compared and analyzed and the detailed analysis of several specific cases is enumerated,so as to provide references later to the theory and practice of industrial heritage protection and reuse of Nanchang City.The historical context and current distribution of industrial heritage of Nanchang City are systematically sorted out,generalized and classified on the existing basis,and the characteristics of the industrial heritage of Nanchang City are summarized.Combining with the present situation and the research theories,it is put forward of the corresponding strategies and suggestions for the protection and reuse of industrial heritage of Nanchang.Finally,a reconstruction for the existing case of Nanchang Bayi linen plant is presented according to the research contents and conclusions.For now,there have been no writings or papers relative to the above content and the author is the first scholar who has researched the industry heritage in Nanchang systematically.
