With the socialist economic system continuously improving, construction field widely carries out the basic systems such as the bidding system, and the contract management system, etc. Meanwhile a set of standard contracts for survey, design, supervision, and construction are also developed and promoted. Contract management has the core position in the project management because project contract determines the overall objectives like the schedule, the quality, and the cost of the project, etc, and clearly defines the rights and obligations of the parties in the project management. In all, management functions of the project have effect throughout the whole construction project. One important way to improve the level of contract management is to establish the scientific and rational evaluation for the contract management and it can also help to find the weaknesses and to propose specific solutions.Firstly, this paper based on the literature and the research, this paper elaborates the status of the evaluation performance of the contract management in the large-scale construction project. Than it divides the evaluation performance of the contract management into the behavior performance and the results performance through the stages of the contract forming, contract effecting and contract ending. Making the four dimensions of construction contract management which are economic, technical, harmony, and informative as the first performance goal, it disintegrates performance indicators for the whole process of construction contract management, and draws the second performance goal in order to establish the performance evaluation system. Thirdly, in order to make the evaluation results more scientific and objective, this paper uses entropy method calculating the index weights then establishes a multi-level comprehensive evaluation model. Lastly, the model mentioned in this paper is used in a large construction project in Shanxi Province.Empirical research demonstrates that the index system and model in this paper are scientific and effective. The dynamic evaluation for contract management in the large-scale construction project can effectively detect the factors that affect project performance. Trough these factors, targeted solutions can be proposed.
