Happiness, Happiness Index, Make people happy...These words has become hot words in newspapers and radio in everywhere. In the first year of Twelfth Five-Year Plan, the happiness index one by one became the government’s policy orientation, most local companies also have answered the call, this is a good social phenomenon, but people are lack of research about the happiness index, such as the happiness index’s meaning, actions and standards. So that, there have been many paradoxical imagination in practice. Happiness index is that use numerical subjective indicators to perform the extent of people’s satisfactory feelings about the objective reality. Happiness index concept was first proposed by the U.S. Economist-Paul Samuelson. He proposed the formula that happiness is equal to utility divided by desire, form that western country have studied happiness for over fifty years. Their research mainly including three stage: theoretical description, theoretical construct and deepening theory. In mainland China, the research on the happiness index rose in the1980s and most data were reviewed for others. Their research mainly on the introduction and integration of foreign studies and from a psychological point of view to explore. From the beginning of this century, scholars start combining human resource management to research happiness index and aiming at the development of the enterprise to provide the basis for continuous effective.This paper summarized the employee of happiness index at home and abroad. With this basis, this paper proposed principles of index system construction to make enterprise’s effective development. Eventually build a complete evaluation system of the new generation employees’ happiness index on the basis of analysising the factor that impact the new generation employees’ happiness. Using the WX enterprise as an example to depth analysis of the new generation of employees with questionnaires and interview, and then using SPSS software to analysis questionnaires. Using factor analysis to carried out empirical analysis after testing the reliability and validity of the questionnaire to establish indicator system, then use normalized to determine the levels of index weights to get the formule of the happiness index and simultaneously to calculate score of everyone’s happiness index. Finally, on the basis of analyzing the empirical results, this paper proposed promotion measures of the new generation employees’ happiness index, theses measures are put forward to provide recommendations for the new generation employees’ management and development.
