| Following the open policy of financial industry in China, the Chinese state-owned commercial banks have experienced fast development which builds the competence of the banks, however, the banks are facing greater competition from their foreign and joint-stock counterparts. To build a talent team with high competence and skills is considered the basis of core competence for commercial banks.Based on the working and managing experience in state-owned commercial banks, the author reconsidered the motivation system in commercial branches, analyzed the main problem and the deep reason behind with the help of motivation theory and human resource management theory. After that, the author proposed how can state-owned commercial branches improve the motivation system, and give specific suggestions.In the first chapter, the author analyzed the development history and the competitive character for state-owned commercial banks, then proposed the importance of motivation system in commercial branches.In the second chapter, the author reviewed the motivation theory and human resource management theory that will help analyzed the research question for this thesis.In the third chapter, the author concluded the problems existing in the current motivation system in state-owned commercial banks, and analyzed the reason behind that.In the forth chapter, the author analyzed the management situation of branch leaders, and proposed possible points to improve the motivation system.After that, in the fifth chapter, the author suggested that branch leaders should improve the motivation system with the effort on cultural management practice, employee development, performance management and salary management.In the last chapter, the author made a conclusion of the thesis, proposed the limitation and future research direction. |
