In highly developed international trade in contemporary society, customs IPR protection is not only a major impact on our social and economic development and knowledge creation, but also related to the competitiveness of domestic enterprises and the image problem in the world market. Through long-term efforts, although China’s protection of intellectual property in the field of customs has made some achievements, but still faces many practical problems, such as a healthy and orderly trade environment has not been formed, the number of infringement cases in international trade is growing, tort means ever-changing, lack of resources and enforcement capacity of customs enforcement, corporate awareness of self-protection of intellectual property rights is weak, and so on. Therefore, we should recognize that even more clearly, strengthen IPR customs protection is imminent, and formidable. We must give sufficient attention and strengthen the protection of IPR customs, import and export trade, by strengthening policy guidance, improve institutional mechanisms to enhance law enforcement capacity, create an orderly environment, multi-level, comprehensive and effective measures to increase Large IPR customs protection, and actively build a scientific and rational system of customs protection of intellectual property security.This paper describes the basic theory of the relevant customs protection of intellectual property development process, principles and significance of the foundation of the current system of intellectual property protection and enforcement of customs regime on the status quo, which sort and summarize the existence of the system is imperfect, law enforcement is not standardized, Enterprise weak IPR protection awareness, and many other practical problems and in-depth analysis of its causes.
