A Study On Industrial Transformation In Zaozhuang City

Resource-based cities refers to rely on a wide range of development resources,pooling of human, financial and material establishment of the development andexpansion of the city, since the founding of the city relying more and moreresources to develop. With modern industrial development, market demand forresource products is growing, resource-based urban social and economicdevelopment has been rapid, coal played an important supporting role in localdevelopment, to improve national, regional economic strength and people’s liveslevel to make a considerable contribution. Zaozhuang City, also rely on coalresources built a mining, processing, sales-oriented industrial chain, led thedevelopment of regional economic, cultural and social aspects of the acceleratedprocess of urbanization also played an important role. However, coal resources arescarce, and the depletion of the consumable, prolonged use of high intensityresulting in the majority of resource-based cities increasingly serious problemsince1980, but there is a lot of resource-based cities in the "mine dried up the cityfailure "problem, resource depletion, economic lag, ecological deterioration,structural unemployment and other issues affecting urban development, similar tothe city’s industrial transformation is imperative. Since2008, the NDRC threebatches, identified69resource-exhausted cities (counties, districts), ZaozhuangCity, one of them is selected as the only resource-exhausted cities in ShandongProvince.Since the21st century, especially since the new leadership took office, the country have emphasized people-oriented, promote and ecological, socialcoordinated development concept of sustainable economic development.Resource-based cities to get rid of resource constraints, we must implementindustrial restructuring, transformation of economic development. Increase theresource-based cities, especially resource-exhausted cities in transition to supportefforts to establish a sound institutional mechanisms contribute to sustainabledevelopment, both the implementation of sustainable development concept andbuilding a conservation-oriented society requirements, but also improve theprotection of various resources, implement the necessary measures to rapid andhealthy development of national economy. Research resources city transformationhas been the focus of international and domestic area that requires extensivecomparison, careful analysis, transformation of different cities have differentcharacteristics, require targeted research.About resource-based urban industrial restructuring, including a wide range ofcontent economic, ecological, social, etc., with complexity and individuality. Inthis paper, the theory and practice, literature analysis, comparison of the data andother research methods, made healthy and sustainable development ofresource-based cities, the key is to solve the problem of industrial transformationof the city. This paper analyzes the difficulties in the transition process inZaozhuang encountered, and then propose appropriate measures to realize the coalchemical industry, tourism, building materials, textiles and other industriesparadigm shift resources from a single dominant industry, Zaozhuang City toprovide decision-making reference development. After analysis, the paper concludes that the implementation of resource-based cities should be targeted asindustrial transformation, to play their own advantages to achieve regionaleconomic health. Zaozhuang to achieve industrial restructuring, extend theindustrial chain from the development of the tertiary industry, build modernagriculture, focusing on four areas of ecological protection and other aspects.
