Study Development Patterns Of The Small Town In The Central Region Of Jilin

As a vital bridge and bond which connect the big cities and countryside, small towns have played an important historical role in China’s process of modernization. The establishment and development of townlet in China started late correspondingly. In 1980 s,Mr. Fei xiaotong who himself is a well- known academic on small-town study and socialist brought "small-town,big strategy",which opened the curtain of our small-town’s boosting up.This essay is established in the central Jilin province area. In the central Jilin province area is Changchun City, Jilin City, Siping City, Liaoyuan City in the article.The central Jilin province area has devoted itself to explore the development patterns for small towns as its leading economy and early small towns’ establishing. Despite the fast development, the establishment of small- town in central region indeed has its own problems such as small scale development, irrational development and utilization of natural resource, underdevelopment of industrialization and incomplete infrastructure. These problems are still to be solved. The author thinks that small towns in the central area will not go blindly one development dish. Various ways of development shall implement according to the regional and geographic conditions and the diverse of means of production. The economy of central Jilin province can only reach a new step by finding the right way of each town in the central region.This article contains four chapters to explain the study of small-town development in central Jilin province.The first part is to establish the research item, to organize the research content, and to set down the research direction by means of the background researching and importance of its study. To give a brief summary for this article and to show the importance of the development of small towns and to find some reference in respect of the study efforts of both domestic and foreign scholars and differences from predecessors.The second part is to better understand the development of small town by researching the influential elements of small town development. And to classify the small towns in central Jilin province region by understanding this region better.The third part is to delve into the motivation and mechanism of small town development in central Jilin region from which we can choose a right way of development pattern for this region.The forth part is to make conclusion and suggestion. Not only summarize and analyze several typical problems from the small towns in central area but also provide reasonable solutions from the author to help small town development in his or her own way.
