Forest fire is a sudden and devastating natural disaster and is difficult to handle for people. To confront with catastrophic fire, firefighters are difficult to close the fire. Using forest fire extinguishing shell is a proper way to solve this problem. The shell can be long-range projected. After the explosion, the shell disperses extinguishing agent to achieve a good extinguishing effect. At present, there are so many products in the market. Some of them are not only low efficient for fire fighting, but also have a security risk after a long-time storage. The capability of fire extinguishing is depend on the quality of the product which is closely related to the production equipment. Therefor, it has an important significance to improve the quality of production equipment for enhancing the competitiveness of enterprises.This thesis studies the design of an automatic production line for forest fire extinguishing shell which is based on the threefold synthesis method "dynamic design, intelligent design and partial virtual design". This line is used to produce the forest fire extinguishing shell. Details are as follows:First of all, the process and mechanical system of the production line are introduced. The entire production line consists of two parts:automatic charging device and general assembling device. Respectively, the structure and function of the devices are illustrated and the key technologies including pneumatic technology, safety explosion-proof design and adaptive assembly are researched.Then, in order to meet the requirements of automation, the control system of the production line is designed. Siemens S7-300PLC is selected as the core of the process control and peripheral control. ET200M(distributed I/O device) is selected as a platform for signal acquisition and device connectivity. Profibus is used as the fieldbus of the control system. For the different requirements, the control program of the system is realized by using modularized software design method.What’s more, in order to achieve the visualization of the production process, a remote monitoring system is designed. Human-machine interface system is selected as an execution unit to record date, device status and alarm information. The configuration software WinCC and WinCC Flexible are used to design the interface of the host computer and touch screen. At the same time, for many dangerous workplaces, the system is equipped with a video surveillance system. Workers can monitor the scene of the dangerous position and deal with danger in the proper way.Finally, the machainical and control system are debugged respectively. Based on the right results, a conclusion can be drawn that this automatic production line woks normally. The problems of the line are discussed and the clear direction for improving the product is shown.
