Plastic film mulching planting technology is characterized by heat preservation and has been widely applied to the crop planting in China. With the use increase of mulching film, the halfway recycling gives rise to environmental pollution. Except in labor scarcity area of China, manual recycling is still the main way to recycle plastic film residue. Since manual recycling is time-consuming and laborsome, it is necessary to greatly advocate the mechanical recycling. Although there are various plastic film residue recycling machines in China, they are involved in poor working stability and low rate of collecting film.To optimize the collecting film machine and increase the rate of collecting film, this thesis conducts the improved design on the telescopic pole collecting film machine and meanwhile performs the theoretical analysis, simulation and experiment research on the improved collecting film machine. The design consists of the following parts:(1) The telescopic pole tooth collecting film machine is improved and the curve plotting so ftware ZGrapher is adopted to conduct theoretical analysis of the motion curve of the pole tooth and verify the feasibility of machine.(2) The three-dimensional model established in UG is imported into ADAMS for kinematics simulation after model simplication and the simulated mulching film pole tooth motion curve is compared with that obtained from theoretical analysis for verifying the correctness of theoretical analysis and non-interference of machine operation. When the machine’s traveling speed is 0.9m/s, the tip speed, acceleration speed of mulching film with different speed ratio will be involved in the simulation analysis. The results indicate pole tooth mulching film machine meets the operation requirement.(3) Statics and contact mechanics analysis is conducted for the major working parts by means of ANSYS Workbench. Through the statics analysis of mulching film pole tooth and shaft sleeve as well as crankshaft, it concludes that the deflection complies with the design requirements when 300 N resistance is applied to the tip end of pole tooth. The maximum stress exists in the joint of pole tooth and shaft sleeve, 443 MPa, less than the yield limit of material 520 MPa, meeting the strength requirement. Through the statics analysis and the contact mechanics analysis of gear, it can conclude that the maximum stress point is at the root of tooth, respectively 197.8MPa and 515.2MPa, less than the yield limit of material 785 MPa. In summary, the working strength of machine meets the requirements.(4) In order to determine the film picking rate reached the optimal value of the working parameters, respectively for single factor experiment and orthogonal experiment. According to the analysis of single factor test,to determine the effect of the speed of machine operating、the pole tooth end point pick film line speed and the speed ratio、the penetrating angle of pole tooth film picking orthogonal rate big factors. The result shows that the collection ratio of the mechanism can close to the optimal when the speed of machine operating is 0.9m/s, the pole tooth end point pick film line speed and the speed ratio is 1.2, the penetrating angle of pole tooth is 55°.
